A Russian travel blogger has revealed how much she spent on a trip to Japan for two people in May 2026. She shared the details on her personal blog, Dotoshny Turist, on the Zen platform.
The blogger said she and her companion flew from Saint Petersburg to Tokyo via Istanbul. The couple spent 253,000 rubles on plane tickets.
Breakdown of expenses
Accommodation cost the travelers 173,000 rubles, while transport within the city came to 62,000 rubles. Food expenses totaled 17,000 rubles, and shopping added up to 96,000 rubles.
The blogger previously described the food in Japan as a disappointing experience. She said all her meals during the trip were haphazard because she had not booked anything in advance.
