Changing the way you poop can reduce your risk of a range of health problems, from anal fissures to urinary tract problems to colon cancer.

A Singaporean kidney doctor used TikTok to demonstrate a guaranteed way to relieve constipation by pooping in a specific position.

To do this, cross one leg over your lap, place your foot on the other thigh and turn your torso towards the back of the toilet.

Dr. Daria Sadovskaya, originally from Singapore, posted her video in the spring and it has since been viewed more than 26 million times. Many say that the changed sitting position has been extremely effective in relieving their constipation.

Associations between constipation and colorectal cancer (CRC) have been discovered, but conclusions are mixed.

A separate 2012 report in the same journal found that the risk of developing colon cancer was 1.78 times higher and the risk of developing benign tumors was 2.7 times higher in patients with chronic constipation.

Another 2022 study in the journal Clinical Gastroenterology and Hepatology reported a 10 percent higher risk of developing colon cancer associated with constipation.
