A unique drink is hitting the market just in time for Christmas that promises to sober you up within an hour and prevent a hangover.
Developed in collaboration with a Florida doctor, Safety Shot claims to be the “world’s first patented drink” that quells hangovers by cutting blood alcohol levels in half in just 30 minutes.
According to the wellness company behind it, it dramatically reduces feelings of intoxication – including lack of concentration and slow movements, as well as hangovers.
And according to the company’s latest press release, the drink will be available on its website and Amazon from the first week of December.
Safety Shot, which claims to cut blood alcohol levels in half for every minute you drink it, will launch the first week of December and will be available on the brand’s website and Amazon.
It is still not entirely clear what exactly the drink contains, although the website mentions vitamins and nootropics – substances that improve cognitive concentration.
Taken immediately after drinking, the drink is said to accelerate the breakdown of alcohol in the blood while forming a protective shield around the stomach wall, limiting the amount absorbed.
This, in turn, will limit the effects of alcohol on the central nervous system, which is weakened by binding to neurotransmitters that impede communication when alcohol enters the body. This leads to slowed brain activity, which leads to poor cognition, balance problems and speech problems.

Research shows that alcohol-related emergency room visits increase significantly during the holidays, especially New Year’s Eve
According to the brand’s website, Safety Shot stimulates central nervous system activity and helps you think more clearly.
Doctor warns against swapping alcohol for soft drinks in sober October

Swapping your alcoholic drink for something mild doesn’t automatically mean it’s healthy, says North London doctor Dr. Jay Verma. Many carbonated drinks full of sugar are not better for our waistlines, our hearts or our teeth.
The product’s “comprehensive combination of minerals and ingredients” is said to reduce dehydration.
A study on the product published last month looked at volunteers who were served alcohol for an hour and then asked to stop.
Participants’ blood alcohol levels were measured with a breathalyzer and they were then asked to drink 6 ounces of Safety Shot.
Researchers found that participants who drank Safety Shot had their blood sugar levels drop seven times faster than a control group.
Dr. Safety Shot scientific director Glynn Wilson said: “The results of this volunteer study clearly show that Safety Shot lowers blood alcohol levels to a statistically significant level and much faster than the percentage of people who did.” Don’t drink. Safety shot.’
However, the researchers also stated that the study was small, but another higher quality study was underway.
The company also plans to develop a more concentrated version of the prescription formula that can be used as a detoxification product for alcohol poisoning.
Safety Shot CEO Brian John said: “We are confident that Safety Shot will be a huge product and create a new category in the beverage industry.”
