Screenplay and direction: Carion, with Line Renaud (dirty money, cop or gangster) And Dany Boon (Nothing to Explain, Family is Family, Crime Thriller), Madeleine is driving chronicles the unlikely friendship of a struggling taxi driver and an elderly passenger on a heartfelt journey through Paris. A seemingly simple taxi ride turns into a profound meditation on the reality of the driver, whose personal life is in tatters, and his journey, an older woman whose warmth belies her shocking past.
The picture will be shown in New York on January 12 at the QUAD Cinema (34 West 13).e Street) and in Los Angeles at Landmark Theaters Sunset (8000 Sunset Blvd.) and Landmark’s Pasadena Playhouse (673 E Colorado Blvd.) before its nationwide release on January 19.
Madeleine is driving had its North American premiere at the 47th Toronto International Film Festivale issue last September and had its US premiere at the 2023 Palm Springs International Film Festival. The film was also an official selection at the Miami Film Festival.
Madeleine is driving is a production by Une Hirondelle Productions, Pathe and TF1 and was produced by Christian Carion and Laure Irrmann.
