A GP sparked fury today when he controversially claimed that healthcare professionals were “financially invested in killing people”.
DR Asher Larmie, a “weight included” transgender doctor from Hertfordshire, posted the comment on Twitter.
His ruling on social media implies that medical professionals gain a financial advantage by allowing or even facilitating the death of their patients.
“Health care workers, like police officers, invest financially in killing people,” he wrote.
“Let me say that again. HEALTH PROFESSIONALS AND POLICE OFFICERS ARE FINANCIALLY INVESTED IN KILLING PEOPLE.”

The family physician, who proudly calls himself the “Fat Doctor,” added that “pharmaceutical companies and insurance companies dominate the health care profession.”
The non-binary GP, who has been a medical doctor for 20 years, made the scandalous statement partly in relation to a shocking case in the US in which a woman died of a stroke after being arrested by police because she refused to leave the hospital herself.
On Feb. 6, 60-year-old Tennessee Edwards refused to leave a hospital and was arrested for trespassing when she died in the back seat of a squad car — minutes after telling police, “You’re going to kill me.”
DR Larmie linked the incident to a wider problem in which professionals had a financial interest in ending certain people’s lives.
“You can make money by killing black people and fat people and disabled people,” he said.
“Oh sorry, did I offend your delicate sensibilities? Am I completely over the moon? That doctor lost his cool, didn’t he? Of course you keep telling yourself that.

The Knoxville Police Department has released its body camera video of the disturbing incident that took place on February 6th at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center in Tennessee.
“Just go about your day and ignore the way pharmaceutical companies and insurance companies control health care.”
He did not outline his exact logic or provide any evidence of how medical professionals are “financially invested in killing people.”
However, he is no stranger to controversy.
Calling himself “The Fat Doctor,” he claims being fat is not a health issue and plans to lose weight are “fat-phobic.”
DR Larmie declined to comment when contacted by MailOnline.
It is unclear whether his statements contravene guidelines from the General Medical Council (GMC), which has a standard of conduct that doctors in the UK must adhere to.
However, the GMC said it could take regulatory action against medical professionals who “undermine public confidence in doctors in general.”
Other GMC guidelines on what constitutes “good medical practice” say that doctors should not “cause” patients by their own personal beliefs.
The GMC has been contacted for comment.
Professor Karol Sikora, a world-renowned oncologist with more than 40 years of medical experience, told MailOnline that Dr. Noise can make people unnecessarily afraid of their doctors.
“Unless he has serious evidence, he should not be alarming people at a time when the NHS is struggling to meet its obligations,” he said.
Professor Sikora added that the GP’s claims that the medic invested financially in killing people were nonsense.
He must provide evidence for his claims. This will alarm people. But how does he think anyone will make money from it?’.
DR Larmie is no stranger to controversy, having founded the #noweigh movement, a campaign aimed at empowering obese and overweight people not to be weighed by health professionals.
This campaign also aims to ‘educate’ healthcare professionals about the ‘weight stigma’.
The GP also previously said that people’s health largely depends on whether they were born “white, male, able-bodied, cisgender or straight”.
Dr. Larmie even charges £200 for 60-90 minute virtual consultations as a health coach.
“Reclaim your health journey with personalized one-on-one consultations with a doctor who understands you,” his website states.
However, a statutory waiver that clients sign before booking a consultation makes it clear that they are not at dr. Larmie works as a general practitioner.
“Only a qualified professional (such as a doctor, nurse or paramedic) can diagnose a health condition. Although I am a doctor, I will not act in my capacity as a doctor.”
This waiver covers any illness or injury that may occur, including death.
Another section promoting webinars for health care professionals reads: “You agree, Dr. Asher (formerly Natasha) Larmie from all liability for any claims for damages resulting from injury, including attorneys’ fees and costs, incurred by you or any third party . of you arising from information in this course.’
