California declares seven cases of severe hepatitis after a child dies of suspected illness –

Seven more cases of serious hepatitis have been discovered in California, and a child has died in Wisconsin as the mysterious disease spread across the country.

The California Department of Health said it had identified cases in “young” children who had been sick since October.
