HBO has released a complete trailer for Season 2 of The Last of Us, showing Joel and Ellie facing new threats in 2025. The trailer carries the tagline "Each path has a price" and offers a preview of the upcoming chapter.
Joel and Ellie spend most of their time in Jackson's compound, where they find a sense of normality in a world invaded by monsters. That peace does not last long as dangers from the infected and other militant groups threaten them and those with whom they have formed ties.
The series tells the story of Joel, played by Pedro Pascal, and Ellie, played by Beautiful ramsey. They navigate a world invaded by zombies infected with a parasitic mushroom, alongside ruthless vigilantes, mercenaries, and desperate cannibals.
Season 2 plot details and new cast
In Season 2, "After five years of peace after the events of the first season, the collective past of Joel and Ellie is reached, bringing them into conflict with each other and an even more dangerous and unpredictable world than they left behind."
