Flight Attendant Caught With 2 Million Rubles in Elite Wine

Customs officers at Moscow Domodedovo Airport caught a 41-year-old flight attendant arriving from Vietnam with elite Italian wine worth two million rubles. The Federal Customs Service reported on its website that officers stopped the Russian woman while she passed through the green channel.

Inspectors found 15 bottles of expensive alcohol in her suitcase, including Sassicaia and Bolgheri Sassicaia dry red wines. The flight attendant confirmed that she was aware of customs regulations.

Customs Investigation

Authorities opened criminal cases against the detainee under articles covering non-declaration of goods and non-compliance with prohibitions and restrictions.

In an earlier incident at a Russian airport, customs officers at Sheremetyevo airport detained a foreigner attempting to export more than 900 ferret skins to China.
