Bruce Dern (The Hateful Eight), Tirese Gibson (Fast & Furious franchise), Shawnee Smith (Saw), and Taryn Manning (Orange is the new black) are all set to star in an upcoming horror film titled The Skulleton.
The story follows Moira Cole (Smith) “as she attempts to move on with her life shattered after the brutal murders of her friends and family at the hands of her deranged and obsessed cousin, Lee Morris. Living a quiet suburban life with her two deeply affected adult children, Moira is constantly reminded of her past, which is littered across the screen every October, being optioned in a popular film franchise.
The film is directed band Ante Novakovic (Sanctioning Evil) from a script written by Anthony and Giacomo Gaudioso (Half century). The cast of the film also includes Damiano Maffei (Strangers: prey at night), Drew Moerlein (South of Hell), Alessandro Giacomo Rodriguez (by Netflix Bee and baby cat), Jaime Zevallos (by Marvel Cloak and dagger), Giacomo Gaudioso (Half century), and Antonio Gaudioso (What Josiah saw).
It sounds like this movie is going to tell an interesting psychological horror story, but it’s Bruce Dern’s involvement that convinced me! I will watch everything he stars in. He is simply a fantastic actor!
The film is currently in production in the US state of Connecticut.
