Gradually we know more about the Ahsoka Tano (Rosario Dawson) spin-off of ‘The Mandalorian’, which will feature more than one known ‘Star Wars Rebels’ character. We knew a while ago that Eman Esfandi (‘The Williams Method’) would play Ezra Bridger and Natasha Liu Bordizzo would play Sabine Wren, but the rest was up in the air. This added to the rumors about what role actress Mary Elizabeth Winstead would play, which had been confirmed as part of the cast. There had been a lot of speculation about the role Winstead would play in the live action series, and the little glimpse of the Twi’lek pilot in the promo video had only given rise to more rumors, which now appear to be proven. “My sources have confirmed to me that the speculations are true and that Mary Elizabeth Winstead will be playing the live-action version of fan-favorite character Hera Syndulla.”, publish the medium. In the final scenes of “Star Wars Rebels,” Ahsoka and Sabine reunited to search for Ezra Bridger, who had made a seemingly fatal sacrifice to thwart Grand Admiral Trawn. In ‘The Mandalorian’ Season 2, Ahsoka even referenced Trawn, implying that maybe if they find him they’d give Ezra too. We don’t yet know how Syndulla fits into all of this or how much weight she’ll have in the storyline, but we’re really looking forward to seeing Winstead play one of the most important characters in “Star Wars Rebels.”

‘Ahsoka’ does not have a fixed date, although it is known that it will be at some point in the 2023 calendar. Fortunately, this January we will already have access to the second season of ‘Star Wars: The Bad Shipment’ and in March it will be the premiere of the third season of “The Mandalorian,” which could give us new clues about what we can expect from the spin-off.
