When Avatar: The Way of Water continues to explode around the world, James Cameron has hinted that he has plans far into the future.
Writer-director Cameron told Entertainment Weekly that he filmed scenes of a proposal Avatar 3 and Avatar 4 simultaneously with the recently released sequel. He did this to prevent the younger cast from aging and raised Netflix strange things as an example of the problem of advancing time.
That away from the water introduces Tuk (Trinity Jo-Li Bliss, who was 7 when she was cast and is now 13) and Spider (Jack Champion, who was 12 when she was cast but is now 18). Because Champion grew “like crazy,” the second, third and first acts of the fourth film had to be done in one production, Cameron said.
“Otherwise you get – and I love it strange things– But you understand strange things Effect where it is assumed that they are still in high school [but] They look like they’re 27,” Cameron said. “You know, I love the show. That’s okay, we’ll suspend disbelief. We love the characters. But you know.”
Producer Jon Landau also revealed in the same article that upcoming films will feature new biomes. “Each film will introduce audiences to new tribes and new cultures on Pandora,” said Landau. “Once we introduce a character, it remains part of the ongoing evolution. We just add it. So, the Metkayina you meet in this film can be expected to appear in the following films. There are other tribes that we will introduce in Movie 3, which you will see in Movie 4, and so on and so forth.”
until now, Avatar: The Way of Water generated $168 million domestically and over $500 million worldwide.
