John Cho and Catherine Waterston will star in a new horror film for Sony Pictures and Blumhouse titled They listen. The film is currently filming in Los Angeles, and was written and directed by Chris Weitz (The Golden Compass, American Pie, Twilight: New Moon, A Better Life).
Unfortunately, there are no details to share regarding the film’s plot, but Blumhouse tends to produce great horror films and this project appears to be in good hands with creative flair. It was also announced that the film will be released next summer on August 25, 2023.
Jason BlumChris Weitz e Andrew Miano they are the producers of the film. Bea Sequeira, Dan Balgoyen, Britta Rowings and Paul Davis are EPs.
Cho recently starred in Amazon Studios’ father-daughter comedy drama, Don’t make me goas well as Netflix live action Cowboy bebop series. As for her films, one of her most recent was the 2018 blockbuster thriller Searching, which earned him an Independent Spirit Award nomination in the Best Male Lead category.
Waterston will be seen in the upcoming film directed by Damien Chazelle from Paramount Pictures Babylon. She also stars opposite Sean Penn and in Tye Sheridan’s upcoming thriller, Black fliesand the second season of the HBO series Perry Massone.
