A new trailer for the romantic comedy has been released Maybe I dohero Diana Keaton, Richard Gere, Susan Sarandon, Emma Roberts, Luke Braceyand William H. Macy. Keaton and Gere play Roberts’ parents, whose boyfriend embarrassingly intercepts her bouquet captured at a friend’s wedding, causing her to ask if he loves her. In an effort to prove her commitment to her, she brings in her parents, played by Sarandon and Macy, who have cheated on each other with the parents of Roberts’ character.
The official description reads:
With a star-studded ensemble cast, Maybe I Do stars Diane Keaton, Richard Gere, Susan Sarandon, Emma Roberts, Luke Bracey and William H. Macy in a multigenerational romantic comedy. Michelle (Roberts) and Allen (Bracey) have reached the point in their relationship to take the next steps towards marriage. Thinking it would be a good idea to invite their parents to finally meet, a dinner party is arranged and the games begin. To everyone’s surprise, the parents already know each other well, all too well, leading to distinct, defining, and hilarious opinions about the value of marriage.
This seems wildly ridiculous. I like the cast, but I wonder if it will be too silly. I’d be willing to watch to find out. Check out the trailer below and see Maybe I do in theaters January 27.
