Listen to STAR WARS: BATTLE FOR JEDHA next month in audiobook weeks before print version

The next chapter of Star Wars: The High Republic will be launched on the audiobook a full 6 weeks before the hardcover version. Star Wars: The Battle of Jedha is written by George Mann and the audiobook version is meant to be like an old school radio drama with a full cast which you can find listed below. StarWars.com shared a first listen that features the first seven minutes to get you sucked in. The story for The battle of Jedha occurs after November Convergence.

Following the events of The High Republic: Convergence, the Jedi travel to Jedha in this all-new original Star Wars audiobook.

Jedha. The worn roads of this ancient world serve as the confluence for the galaxy. Visited by all, but owned by none. Here, the Jedi are but one creed among many who worship and study the Force. From the Guardians of the Whills to the Path of the Open Hand, countless beings come to learn and share in peace.

As all of Jedha prepares for its Festival of Balance, the galaxy continues to reel from the violence on Eiram and E’ronoh. But after foiling a plot to escalate the war between the two planets, the Jedi believe a lasting peace may be at hand. Master Creighton Sun and Jedi Knight Aida Forte arrive on Jedha with delegations from both planets to formally end the “War Forever”. The Jedi hope that the harmony of Jedha’s many factions, coupled with the signing of a peace treaty, will create a symbol to the rest of the galaxy of what can be accomplished through unity.

But not everyone is happy with the Jedi’s involvement or ready to worry about peace. Rumors begin to circulate that the Jedi lead the war in their wake. The distrust and anger that fueled the Forever War for so long now threatens to corrupt the communities of Jedha. When violence erupts on the sacred moon, the war that was meant to end on Jedha may soon engulf the entire world.
