Find out how much LEGO sets that are popular in other countries cost

It’s no secret that LEGO is a very popular toy all over the world. Coming from humble beginnings as simple building blocks, it has grown to have incredibly intricate sets and very talented people using them as a means to build amazing things. But have you ever wondered how much LEGOs cost around the world?

TheToyZone recently conducted a study looking at the cost of 8 different LEGO sets popular in around 200 countries and I am personally amazed by the results. Of course I expected a difference, but I wasn’t prepared for how big a difference it was. The ToyZone found a 744% difference in the average price of LEGO in the most and least expensive markets. The cheapest place in the world to buy LEGO was Belgium, where the average price of sets is $269, while Argentina was the most expensive at an average of $2,270.

The average in the US was $349, about $50 more than in Canada. Funny enough, Denmark, the birthplace of LEGO, was only the second cheapest in Europe and fourth cheapest in the world at $287. Normally I’d question them just using the sometimes misleading average, but their comprehensive results they do a breakdown of the cost of each LEGO set they have researched and do away with the use of the average and instead simply compare the costs.

This was honestly fascinating to read and I recommend looking into the full results of the study. Each of the maps is super fun to look at when broken down by set because each map is themed around the set. How does your country behave in prices? Thinking of crossing a border to get a better deal on LEGO?
