Apple TV+ Confirms First Spinoff, ‘Mythic Quest’ Continues

The Apple TV+ catalog is increasingly committed to original content that stands out from the competition. And one genre that has fully satisfied its subscribers is comedy, where ‘Mythic Quest’, the series starring Charlotte Nicdao and Rob McElhenney, stands out. Now, it has been confirmed that the first spin-off in the history of the platform will arrive, based on this program.

It’s a statement Apple TV+ has confirmed the first spin-off in its history’Mere mortals’, which will expand the ‘Mythic Quest’ universe, and will have eight episodes in total. Ashly Burch, John Howell Harris and Katie McElhenney, who worked on the main series, will lead this new project which will explore “the lives of employees, players and fans who are affected by the game”.

While the third season of ‘Mythical quest’ is still on air, ‘Mere mortals’ is inspired by several episodes of the main series, such as ‘Sarian’, which belongs to the third season and which premiered last Friday, December 16th. Some others like ‘A Dark Quiet Death’, ‘Quarantine’, ‘Everlight’ and ‘Backstory’ were also the reference for the Apple TV+ spin-off.

Ashly Burch, John Howell Harris and Katie McElhenney, with Megan Gana, Rob McElhenney, David Hornsby and Charlie Day will return as executive producers of ‘Mere Mortals’. At the moment, only Burch is the only one confirmed as part of the cast, and that in the main series he is in charge of bringing Rachel to life, and who has also worked on programs such as ‘Adventure Time’ and the video game ‘ The Last of Us’ .

Mythic Quest and its third season on Apple TV+
