Right now, one of Marvel Studios’ immediate priorities is to find the cast that will be part of the new “Fantastic 4”, a group that will be key to the development of the last two phases of the MCU. That’s why “Elvis” star Austin Butler wants to stick with one of the biggest roles on this team, that of the Human Torch.
Insider Jeff Sneider, during The Hot Mic podcast, assured that the agents of Austin Butler is campaigning to be the new Human Torch of ‘fantastic Four’. As some of you know, prior to the MCU, Chris Evans, who brought Captain America to life, was attached to play Johnny Storm on the big screen, and there are rumors that he may return at some point.
Taking advantage of ‘Elvis’ fame, the Austin Butler’s reps want a big project for the actor, and Marvel would be the option you need to solidify your film career. However, that doesn’t mean he’ll keep the role, as there are several opponents who also want the job, such as Brandon Perea, star of Jordan Peele’s “Nope.”
Other names that fans want to see in the role of The Human Torch Zac Efron, Timothée Chalamet and Chris Evans himself. However, Marvel and Disney’s plans are currently unknown on the future of The Fantastic 4, as it remains to be seen who would bring new versions of Elastic Man, The Thing, and Invisible Woman to life.

John Krasinski doesn’t think he will return as Reed Richards at Marvel
In a recent interview for The Wrap, John Krasinski spoke again about his role in “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness”, and assured that Marvel has not yet called him to return as Reed Richards. The ‘The Office’ actor says there has been “no talk at all” of seeing him as Reed Richards again, which has fans worried.
“Kevin Feige called me and asked if I would come to Los Angeles to play in his arcade for a day. It was a real honour. I arrived from Budapest when we finished and went straight to the set of “Doctor Strange”. I’m a huge fan of these characters and that world, so playing for a day was really exciting,” said John Krasinski of his meeting with the president of Marvel Studios.
There is currently nothing confirmed regarding the future of ‘Fantastic 4’, so it shouldn’t be taken for granted, especially with the future of UCM still in development for the next few years. Also, ‘Secret Wars’ was supposed to bring together all the heroes from Marvel’s history, so there would be plenty of familiar faces in the MCU finale.
