A couple of months ago, we reported the touching reunion between Harrison Ford And Ke Huy Quan at the D23 conference. The pair starred opposite each other in the 1984 film Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doomand they hadn’t seen each other since, so it was a really fun and sweet event between the acting duo.
While Ford is known for starring in many movies since the 1980s, Quan took a long hiatus after starring in the blockbusters Indiana Jones and The Goonies. He just returned to Hollywood with his stunning performance in Everything everywhere all at oncewhich sparked a lot of Oscar buzz, and Ford recently told Uproxx what he thought of his friend’s performance as he said reuniting with Quan was a blessing.
“Oh yeah. Yeah, it was good to see him. I had the opportunity to see the movie. He’s really great in his own movie. And I’m so happy to see him…and what he’s become. I’m so happy for him. He is also such a happy boy.
When the reporter informed Ford that Quan “will likely receive an Oscar nomination” for his role in Everything everywhere all at once, Ford replied: “And well deserved! Well deserved.
Quan has already won a handful of major awards this awards season for his performance in the A24-backed multiverse family drama. The Gotham Awards gave the supporting actor award to Quan, as did the New York Film Critics Circle and the Los Angeles Film Critics Association. Quan is also nominated for Golden Globe and Critics Choice Awards for his role.
Can’t wait to see what Quan does next. He’s such a talented and genuine guy, and he was amazing in his last film.
