Pete Doherty has opened up about the time he was taken to hospital after biting through Christmas lights.
Appearing on Never Mind the Xmas Buzzcocks this week, the former Libertines frontman, 43, said his hair color had changed as a result of the incident.
He explained: “When I was a toddler, I remember chewing through a string of Christmas lights.
“I had some kind of spontaneous combustion or something and had to go to the hospital.
“When I came back I had a big white strand in my hair.”
The musician admitted he had no luck with electronic devices over the years and spoke of another incident that happened over the holiday season.
He said, according to The Sun: “Four years later I also electrocuted myself under the fridge, but it was New Year’s Day, I think.”
It comes after Pete reportedly told fans he was set to become a father for the third time.
Several sources confirmed the news to MailOnline earlier this month, but there was no mention of the news on either him or Katia’s social media.

He apparently announced the news earlier this month at a concert where Pete and his wife Katia played the Vidas in their band, the Puta Madres, in Strasbourg, France.
A source told MailOnline: “They happily chatted about the news after the show as fans lined up behind them waiting to speak to them.”
Pete married Katia, who performs in his band, in a private ceremony at a lavish French retreat in September 2021 – just two days after they confirmed their engagement.

Pete, whose exes include Kate Moss, has been in a relationship with pianist Katia since 2012 and has son Astile (19) and daughter Aisling (11) from previous relationships.
He now lives with Katia in France and insists he has been heroin-free for three and a half years and has also stopped drinking.
Pete’s relationship with Kate Moss ended when he was unable to complete rehab in Arizona, USA, and in 2005 he infamously painted a portrait of himself and the supermodel using crayons and his blood before their final split in 2007.
His son Astil comes from his relationship with Lisa Moorish and he shares his daughter Aisling with model Lindi Hingston.

Pete also revealed how he dated Amy Winehouse before her death in 2011 aged 27.
He previously told The Mail On Sunday: “Amy and I were lovers. I loved her then and still do.
“But in the end, as only lovers can, she became quite mean and nasty to me. She wasn’t fooled… and believe me, she had a nasty right hook.”
He said last year that he had replaced his partying and drug abuse with country walks, sleeping and eating French cheese with water.

Pete and Lisa briefly dated in 2003, and the English singer-songwriter eventually welcomed their son Astile, now 18.
