Like father Like Son! tiger forest revealed on Friday, December 16 that although he and his 13-year-old son Charlie Woods, have foot and ankle injuries, their main goal is to hit the golf course together and have fun at the PNC Championship in Orlando, Florida over the weekend. “You know, I don’t really care,” Tiger, 46, said of the possibility that he was delaying his recovery by playing in the tournament. “I think being there with and alongside my son is so much more important, e [getting] having the chance to experience it with him is so much better than my foot creaking a little.
Both Tiger and Charlie were on the golf course that day at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Club and both were visibly limping. As fans know, Tiger is still recovering from the terrifying car crash he was in in early 2021, in which he suffered severe fractures to his right lower leg and ankle that required surgery. He’s currently dealing with swelling in his right foot, or plantar fasciitis, which, according to the Mayo Clinic, is “one of the most common causes of heel pain.” Your pain has been so bad for the past month that retired from Hero World Challenge, an event organized by its foundation. The event took place in Albany, Bahamas between November 28 and December 4.

Meanwhile, Charlie, who made his national television debut alongside his father at the 2020 PNC Championship, suffers a sprained ankle.
“Whenever I get to spend time with my son, it’s always special,” Tiger continued during his press conference. “And to do it in a competitive forum, the last couple of years have been magical and to be able to do it again, we can’t wait to do it.”
Speaking further about his continued recovery, Tiger said that “it’s been a lot harder than people probably realize.” He continued: “Some players who are very close to me know what I’ve been through and are the ones who encourage me to take a step back.”

Despite being encouraged by friends to slow down, Tiger said it won’t happen. “But it’s just not in my nature. My nature is trying to improve, and I have,” he explained. “And thanks to the work ethic, I was able to play and compete in three major championships this year.” Tiger participated in the Masters Tournament in April and at the 150th Open in July, he withdrew from the PGA Championship after three rounds in May.
Luckily, Tiger can use a golf cart at the PNC championship, something that could have been a problem for him. “Yes, I can hit golf balls,” Tiger said at the Hero World Challenge, watching the PNC championship, according to Golf.com. “It’s the walking that hurts. So it’s… something that… when you have plantar fasciitis, all you can do is rest and try to stretch as best you can, but it’s rest.
“So this is going to be a tough week. Father-Son will be a very easy week,” she said positively. “Charlie will just hit all the shots and I’ll just get the shots out of the hole, so it’s pretty easy. But other than that, in the game we’re playing, we’re flying cars.”
