However, now, the legendary composer of the saga, John Williams, has stated, in his debut with the Filarmonica della Scala in Milan, that A new ending for the latest installment of ‘Indiana Jones’ still remains to be filmed: “We just completed the film. Maybe we’ll need to record and film another ending, maybe in a couple of weeks”shared with the audience at the Teatro alla Scala in Milan.

The need to record a new ending when the film was, according to the team, finished is surprising, even if it’s not the first time it’s happened. Maybe be consequence of the disappointment in the results that the film was achieving in the first test screeningsaccording to the rumors published by Screenrant, but there is no official information about it, so for now it is just speculation.

The direction of the film comes from the hand of James Mangold, American director, known for films such as ‘Logan’ or ‘Le Mans ’66’, who takes the place of Steven Spielberg, who for the first time does not direct an installment of the saga that he created with George Lucas.

The actor, who He has been playing the main character since 1981 in “Indiana Jones Raiders of the Lost Ark”, he brandishes the whip again to the relief of all fans of the saga, but it would be the last time. While Mangold has denied it, there are rumors that in one of the endings that were taped, Ford passed the baton to Waller-Bridge’s character, who plays Helena, Indy’s goddaughter, to continue the saga with her in front of her. If this were true, it’s possible the ending would be retconned to give it a new epilogue, after failing to convince in testing (via Screenrant).

A legend

Just as no one is surprised that Harrison Ford returns to play Indiana, it’s no surprise that John Williams is tasked with bringing the score back to the silver screen’s favorite archaeologist. In the concert above, Williams performed three songs that will be part of “Indiana Jones and the Dial of Fate”. This latest film joins a large list of films to which he has provided a soundtrack, including titles such as: ‘Home Alone’, ‘Jaws’, ‘Memoirs of a Geisha’ or ‘Schindler’s List’.
