While many fans are angry Henry Cavill not reprising his Superman role, don’t worry, Cavill will be fine. Yes, he sucks, but he has other exciting projects that he is pursuing! One such project is a serial adaptation of the epic game Warhammer 40,000!
The project is set up at Amazon Studios and the deal is currently under negotiation. If all of that pans out, Cavill will star in and produce the series. You know what, I’m actually way more excited to see Cavill do this than to see Cavill reprise his role as Superman. This is something he will be able to help develop from scratch.
Warhammer 40,000 is a miniature wargame produced by Games Workshop in which players stage battles using miniature models of warriors and fighting vehicles. The game is set in the “gloomy darkness of the distant future, where mighty armies clash on countless war-torn worlds and Humanity stands alone, besieged on all sides by the threats of heretic, mutant and alien. There is no mercy. There is no respite.”
The models in the game are a mix of humans, aliens and supernatural monsters, armed with futuristic weapons and supernatural powers. The game’s fictional setting was developed through a series of novels, published by Games Workshop’s Black Library publishing division.
