‘Ballerina’: Norman Reedus (‘The Walking Dead’) joins the spin-off of ‘John Wick’

‘Ballerina’, the spin-off of ‘John Wick’ starring Ana de Armas, is currently in full recovery and continues to increase its cast. As announced by Deadline, Norman Reedus, who played Daryl Dixon for 11 seasons on ‘The Walking Dead,’ also joins Anjelica Huston, Ian McShane, Lance Reddick and Catalina Sandino Moreno.

Although he won’t be the protagonist this time, Keanu Reeves will appear in the film with a small cameo as John Wick, but first we will see him as the assassin in the premiere of “John Wick 4” on March 24, 2023.

‘Ballerina’: Norman Reedus (‘The Walking Dead’) joins the spin-off of ‘John Wick’

“We are huge fans of Norman and are sure fans will be as excited as we are for him to join the Wick universe. He will be an incredible addition to ‘Ballerina’”, producer Erica Lee told Deadline. Produced by Lionsgate, ‘Ballerina’ is directed by Len Wiseman from a screenplay by Shay Hatten, responsible for “Army of the Dead” and co-writer of “John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum”. Produced by Basil Iwanyk, Lee, Chad Stahelski, Brady Fujikawa and Chelsea Kujawa. A release date has not been announced.

Beyond “The Walking Dead”

Since 2010 and with 174 episodes starring Daryl, Reedus didn’t have much free time for other projects, but he managed to lend his voice to various video games and animated series and appear in the films ‘Sky’, ‘Air’, ‘Vacation’, ‘The Conspiracy’ and the video clip Lady Gaga’s ‘Judas’ among other things. He will also be seen in ‘The Bikeriders’ directed by Jeff Nichols opposite Michael Shannon, Austin Butler and Tom Hardy; and a spin-off of the zombie series centered on his character is filming in France.
