“Avatar: The Way of Water” could be a huge hit

It’s no secret that ‘Avatar’ was groundbreaking when it hit the big screen in 2009, which is why it has become one of the most successful films in the history of cinema and now that its sequel is finally here, it has everything which you need. the attention of the public and, last but not least, the critics indicated it as a great work.

David Ehrlich of IndieWire wrote in his review that “‘Avatar: The Way of Water’ is such an impressive improvement over the original because its spectacle doesn’t have to compensate for the story,” making it clear that this film is about a viewing spectacle just like the first but emphasizing that it even surpasses it.

On the other hand, not everyone found it a future success, for example Peter Bradshaw of The Guardian, who wrote that “James Cameron halts like a massive, redundant whale” while ensuring the story could be told in 30 minutes and is forced to be stretched into a 3-hour feature film.

In James Cameron’s plans, ‘Avatar: The Way of Water’ is only the beginning of a new film saga that promises to end in 2028 with the fifth part, although first we will have to see how the public receives the return of the Pandora world and of the Na’vi, to define the path that these beloved blue characters will take.
