NBC renews QUANTUM LEAP for a second season

NBC renewed theirs Quantum Leap reboot the series for a second season. The sci-fi series continues the story of the classic 90s series, only it doesn’t involve the original star, Scott Bacula.

The renewal comes midway through the show’s first season, which has garnered solid reviews. I’ve only seen a couple of episodes so far, but I enjoyed it! It’s much better than I thought. I was hoping to see Bakula’s Sam Beckett, but that’s not going to happen.

The series is the protagonist Raymond Lee, and it has “been 30 years since Dr. Sam Beckett entered the Quantum Leap accelerator and disappeared. In this new show, a new team has been assembled to reboot the project in hopes of understanding the mysteries behind the machine and the man who created it. The series is also starring Ernie Hudson, Caitlin Bassett, Mason Alexander Park And Nanris Lee.

Lisa Katz, president of Scripted Content, NBCUniversal Television and Streaming, said in a statement, “We are moving into a second season thanks to the incredible work of our cast, producers, writers and everyone who played a part in give this iconic NBC series a new life.As we continue to bring audiences to our must-see dramas, it is gratifying to know that Quantum Leap will feature prominently next season both on our NBC lineup and the next day on Peacock.

Martin Gero serves as executive producer along with Dean Georgaris, Don Bellisario, Deborah Pratt, Chris Grismer, Steven Lillian And Bryan Wynbrandt.
