Top Gun: nonconformist it was the biggest film of the year, and as long as the upcoming Avatars the sequel doesn’t knock it out of the park, it will stay that way. But either way, it will become the film that brought people back to theaters after the pandemic. It was an amazing movie and the fans would have gladly shown up to watch another starring movie Tom Cruise as Maverick, but is that even a possibility?
The director of the film, Joseph Kosinskyand producer Jerry Bruckheimer recently spoke on the Deadline Contenders LA3C panel, and was asked if audiences can expect another film in the near future, or if it could take another 35 years to get one. Top gun 3 on the big screen. Just like with maverickKosinksi said it will be about finding a story that needs to be told.
“Is there another story compelling enough to keep us going back?” she asked, adding, “It seems to me that at the end of this movie Maverick still has some gas left in his tank. He’s not settling down.
Looks like Kosinski is all for making another Top Gun! And I don’t even think Cruise would back down, as long as they can find the right story for it. Do you think they should stop at Maverick or make another great Top Gun movie?
