Comedy of 2011 Bridesmaids it was a hilarious and wild movie about two best friends and their lives when one gets engaged and the other’s life implodes. The film was written by SNL alum Kristen Wiig and his writing partner Annie Mumoloand stars Wiig, Maya Rodolfo, Rosa Byrne, Melissa McCarthy, Wendy McLendon-CoveyAnd Chris O’Dowdas well as Rebel Wilson And Jon Hamm.
The ensemble is crazy, and apparently there were other famous people planned, but they didn’t make the final cut. One of those was Paul Rudd (In the dark, Ant man), who would be a failed love interest for Wiig’s character Annie. In the deleted scene, they are set up on a blind date, which actually gets off to a very good start. The conversation flows and they’re really connecting, but then Rudd’s character loses his mind at an ice rink.
Film director Paul Feig described cutting Rudd’s scenes from the film as having “that awful moment where you have to kill your kids”. He also said it was one of the funniest things he had ever seen, but since the movie was so long and there was already a love triangle, the blind date had to go.
