Gene Siskel And Roger Ebert did not review Batman: Mask of the Phantasm when it was initially released in theaters. They waited a full year after it was released before reviewing it, and the first thing they say in their review is that they regretted not reviewing it sooner.

They loved the movie! They call him smart and handsome and at the time they wished Warner Bros. would make more animated films like this with the same production team. The only thing Siskel said he didn’t like was Mark Hamill’s Joker voice, which I thought was hilarious!

He preferred Jack Nicholson and Cesar Romero’s versions of The Joker and said, “I don’t like this Joker’s voice.” He is one of the few people who thinks so! I think he felt he had to find just one thing he didn’t like about the movie and he decided to cast the voice of the Joker.

If you’ve never seen it Siskel & Ebert review below, I think you will have a blast! Have a good time!
