With everything mounted in DC with rumors that James Gunn and Peter Safran could ditch Gal Gadot or Henry Cavill to restructure the franchise in its plan to create a shared history of about 8 or 10 years, there are those who do not take the uncertainty well and there are those who, fortunately, take it with humor.

In this second group is David F. Sandberg, director of ‘Shazam!’ and his sequel, ‘Fury of the Gods’, which opens March 17, 2023. Sandberg started joking on Twitter that it was impossible to find a single DC story on Google and wondering if even Zachary Levi would ditch his Shazam to become Clayface (referring to rumors that Jason Momoa will be the new Wolf), the director only hinted at a small generational conflict:
I wish there were more articles and discussions on my favorite topic, DC movies.
It would be fun to hear rumors, speculation, etc. pic.twitter.com/4jhAFhG4ZB? David F. Sandberg (@ponysmasher) December 10, 2022
“I wish there were more articles and discussions on my favorite topic: DC Films. Wouldn’t it be great if there were rumors, speculations, etc.”
Well, now that Asher is older than him, we had to find him something else to do.

“-Can you confirm the rumors that Zachary Levi will be fired as Shazam but immediately hired as Clayface?
“Well, now that Asher is older than him, we’ll have to find him something else to do.”
The moment ‘Comedy Club’ ended with another joke about Rachel Zegler, the ‘West Side Story’ star joining the superhero universe in a yet-to-be-confirmed character, but that she could be one of the daughters of Atlas.
Only key roles

“-Can you confirm that from now on all roles will be played by Rachel Zegler?
– Only the main ones.”
“Trust Your Instinct”
On the other side of the spectrum is David Ayer, who didn’t get serious, but just stepped in to show his support for Gunn. After the article was published by The Hollywood Reporter, the director of ‘The Suicide Squad’ tweeted that only part of it was true, that other things were half-truths, some were lies and some were not clear to him. Subsequently the other director, that of ‘Suicide Squad’ (the one from 2026), shared his message adding: “Trust your instincts. You have everything under control.” To which Gunn responded with the palms together smiley:

While we may think differently after Gunn joined DC to “fix” what Ayer had done with the Suicide Squad, there’s a great rapport between the two. Indeed, while Gunn and Safran’s job as CEOs of DC Studios is to think ahead and not look back, It appears that Warner Bros is not entirely ruled out releasing Ayer’s cut of the film, and is that after the leak of the original script, the number of advertising frame for seeing everything filmed and lost in the editing room.
