‘M3GAN’ launches a new trailer and celebrates its premiere with doll choreography to the beat of Taylor Swift

Last October, the first preview of ‘M3GAN’ came, Blumhouse’s new original production, centered around a murderous robotic doll. It immediately went viral, flooding Twitter with memes and sparking anticipation for a film that, until then, had been on very few’s radar. And now, just under a month away, comes the second trailer of what promises to be one of the sensations of terror of the season.

‘M3GAN’ is about a realistic doll with the latest generation of artificial intelligence, programmed to protect children and be an ally of their parents. Designed by Gemma (Allison Williams, ‘Girls’ and ‘Let Me Out’), a brilliant roboticist for a toy company, M3GAN has the ability to learn and become the child’s friend, teacher and playmate.

When Gemma becomes the legal guardian of her 8-year-old orphaned niece, Cady (Violet McGraw, ‘The Haunting of Hill House’), she finds herself in a dilemma because she’s not ready to be a mother. Like this, Gemma decides to link her M3GAN prototype to Cady, but the doll will take her role as protector too literally, with very dark consequences..

‘M3GAN’ is the new adventure of the prolific studio with hits like ‘Insidious’, ‘The Purge’ or ‘Halloween Night’, and is produced by Jason Blum, the president of the company, and James Wan, with directed by Gerard Johnstone (‘Housebound’) and screenplay by Akela Cooper (“Evil”), from an original story by him and Wan.

A first viral

Although ‘M3GAN’ does not hit theaters until the beginning of January (in the United States it comes out on the 6th, two days later than in Spain), the premiere has already taken place in Los Angeles, taking advantage of it before the Christmas holidays begin. . The cast, led by Williams and McGraw, and the producer attended the event Jason Blum, who reappeared disguised as M3GAN, as he did a couple of months ago.

But the most talked about part of the premiere was featuring a group of M3GAN dolls, who posed on the gray carpet alongside the team and channeled the doll’s dancing spirit that went so viral with the first trailer, with a choreography to the beat of ‘It’s Nice to Have a Friend’, Taylor Swift’s song from her 2019 album ‘Lover’. There’s no doubt they know exactly what they’re doing with the marketing campaign for this movie.

‘M3GAN’ opens in Spain on January 4thexclusively in theatres.
