It seems James Gunn And Peter SafranDC’s movie plans will not include Wonder Woman 3. I figured they were going to wipe the slate clean as they build DC Studios’ new future, and it’s safe to say Wonder Woman 3 it won’t be the only DCEU property under the old regime that won’t return.
This news comes from THR, which also says Patty Jenkins “recently submitted her treatment, co-written Geoff Johnsand that Gunn and Safran, as well as Warner Bros. Pictures co-presidents and co-CEOs Michael De Luca and Pamela Abdy, broke the news to the director, telling her the project — as it stood — just didn’t fit the bill new plans (but still in progress).
This is just the beginning of this kind of news to come out of DC Studio and the biggest shocker is yet to come.
Gunn and Safran went to Aspen, Colorado, where they planned the future of the DC Cinematic Universe, and recently returned to Los Angeles. They’ve come down from the top of the mountain with a new set of blueprints for their plans and are expected to meet David Zaslav, the CEO of Warner Bros. Discovery, next week and present their plans.
The sources say these plans are “still in development and have yet to be approved.” It’s not clear if Gal Gadot she will return as Wonder Woman in any future film, but if I had to bet, I’d say it’s not in the plans.
I guess more news from DC Studios will start leaking, so stay tuned.
