‘The Last of Us’ is the highly anticipated new series from HBO. The show is based on the popular video game. ‘The Last of Us’ takes place 20 years after the destruction of modern civilization. Joel, a hardened survivor, is hired to smuggle 14-year-old Ellie out of an oppressive quarantine zone. What starts out as a small job soon turns into a brutal and painful journey as both must traverse the United States and depend on each other for survival.

“Game of Thrones” alumni Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey play Joel and Ellie. Cast also includes Gabriel Luna as Tommy, Anna Torv as Tess, Nico Parker as Sarah, Murray Bartlett as Frank, Nick Offerman as Bill, Melanie Lynskey as Kathleen, Storm Reid as Riley, Merle Dandridge as Marlene, Jeffrey Pierce as Perry, Lamar Johnson as Henry, Keivonn Woodard as Sam, Graham Greene as Marlon and Elaine Miles as Florence. ‘The Last of Us’ premieres January 15 on HBO.
