In true Tom Cruise style, Keanu Reeves continues to give his all physically when making a movie, especially if it is part of the “John Wick” saga. Both actors, already in their sixties, actively participate in the most demanding scenes in terms of action and choreography, which is not without difficulty. At least for Reeves who, already in the fourth chapter of the aforementioned saga, he claims to find the task enough “hard”.

From the stage at Comic Con in Brazil (via ComicBook), Reeves provided new details of the franchise in general and ‘John Wick 4’ in particular, stating that this film was a challenge for him. “‘John Wick 4’ is the hardest movie I’ve ever made. In terms of action, it’s the hardest movie I’ve ever made. But that’s what makes it so good. There are many enemies chasing Wick, and many different kinds of scenes that are funny because of the action. Also [los asesinos de esta saga] they are as limitless as the grains of sand on the beach. Like this [hay] Lots of people chasing John Wick”something that, according to Reeves, invites you to be inventive when planning action sequences. “Actually, in the case of the John Wick movies, it’s about looking for something creative within each scene”.
From what is known of “John Wick 4,” this description of his star fits perfectly into the film’s starting point, an installment in which John Wick faces his deadliest adversaries with an ever-increasing bounty on his head, something that it doesn’t stop him when it comes to resisting the High Table around the world while trying to track down the most powerful criminals in his underworld. In the next film we will visit New York, Paris, Osaka or Berlin and see the return of familiar faces along with new signings. Donnie Yen, Bill Skarsgård, Laurence Fishburne, Hiroyuki Sanada, Shamier Anderson, Lance Reddick, Rina Sawayama, Scott Adkins, Clancy Brown, Natalia Tena, Marko Zaror and Ian McShane complete the cast of this film. which opens on March 24, 2023.
When is ‘Ballerina’ set?
Keanu Reeves, in addition to generating expectations around “John Wick 4”, revealed an important fact about ‘Ballerina’, spin-off of the saga led by Ana de Armas. Until now little was known about this film which would have had the participation of Reeves himself, McShane, Reddick and Anjelica Huston; but now, thanks to Reeves’ aforementioned CCXP attendance (via ScreenRant) we can confirm at what point his quest for vengeance will take place.
“‘Ballerina’, a film starring Ana de Armas and directed by Len Wiseman, has already started shooting and takes place between ‘John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum’ and ‘John Wick 4′”which makes perfect sense if we remember that this project was born in line with that “dance” group led by Huston in the third installment.
