The end of 2022 is just a few weeks away, a year that has been very difficult for Netflix, which has suffered the first drops in subscribers, savoring the success of ‘Dahmer’ and ‘Stranger Things 4’. But the horizon looks better for the streaming platform, with some original series arriving in 2023 that you can’t miss.

After the failed adaptation of ‘Cowboy Bebop’, now Netflix returns with one of its most anticipated original series of 2023, ‘A piece’. A live-action of one of the most successful anime in all of history, and also one of the most expensive productions, given that, per episode, they invested around 10 million dollars. The series will star Iñaki Godoy and does not yet have a release date.

The 3-body problem

Based on the science fiction novel of the same name, which is part of the “Remembrance of Earth’s Past” saga, “The 3-body problem” is one of Netflix original series more intriguing. Created by David Benioff and DB Weiss, responsible for “Game of Thrones”, and with a cast led by Eiza González and Benedict Wong, among others, this is one of the biggest bets on the platform. No release date.

Avatar: The Last Airbender

Probably one of The most awaited Netflix series of 2023 is the adaptation of “Avatar: The Last Airbender,” Nickelodeon’s animated story that is also one of the company’s most expensive productions, budgeting around $15 million per episode. Like the previous one, it doesn’t even have a release date, but it will arrive the following year.

Queen Charlotte: A History of Bridgerston

The first glimpse of ‘Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story’ revealed at the latest edition of Netflix’s international event, Tudum, has rekindled fans’ desire to return to the universe at the time. But this time, from the hand of young Charlotte, Lady Danbury and Violet, located many years before the main series. It opens on May 4, 2023.

The fall of the House of Usher

With the recent announcement of the cancellation of ‘The Midnight Club’, Mike Flanagan will be leaving Netflix with his latest horror series called ‘The Fall of the House of Usher’ based on the stories of Edgar Allan Poe. The creator of ‘The Haunting of Hill House’ has been disappointed with the handling of his most recent story on the platform, which, as of its next production, is leaving Netflix. At the moment it doesn’t even have a release date.

Berlin

Many complained that ‘La casa de papel’ was already repetitive, so Netflix decided to make another spin-off of one of the most beloved characters from the main series, ‘Berlin’. It is actor Pedro Alonso who will return with a solo story that once again immerses fans in new heists, mysteries and action, in a date to be determined for 2023.
