The man with the chainsaw it’s such a great anime series! I had a great time and especially love all the classic movie references and other pop culture references. It’s so damn funny!
Anyway, some great new promo images have surfaced for the series that I wanted to share as they pay homage to some classic movies like Kill Bill, The Shining, A Clockwork Orange, and Jurassic Park! There’s also a little Baby Metal Easter egg with the Baby Metal Fox sign on it, and if you don’t know who Baby Metal is and you like heavy metal, you need to check it out! The promotional artwork is for the upcoming Blu-ray set.
In the series, “The world is ravaged by devils, otherworldly monsters that feed on human fear. Despite their antagonistic nature, humans can actually form alliances with these devils and gain powers of their own. The protagonist, a downtrodden young man named Denji, works to pay off his father’s huge debt to the yakuza.
Either way, the season finale is only a few weeks away and the first season will consist of 12 episodes in total. Some of the other pop culture references in the series include The Big Lebowski, Pulp Fiction and Attack of The Killer Tomatoes, and that’s just in the opening sequence! There are many more!
