Charles Cornell is a talented musician who slices music from all types of media on YouTube. Recently, she looked into what makes the soundtrack of anime Spy x Family so good. I really enjoyed the anime so of course I had to check out the video.
Cornell goes through what three of the songs are doing in terms of music theory. A lot went through my head, but it was interesting to hear him talk about the various jazz scales and chords and how they are used in this music. It was also nice to hear what makes the music sound spy-type rather than something else.
The three songs he chose for his analysis do a good job of showing you the wide variety that is found in the show. If you like spy music and/or jazz and blues, you should really listen to the soundtrack of the show first. Then you should watch this video for all the details and insights.
Check it out below and let me know what you think. You have looked? Spy x Family?
