It’s over a year that will go down in history due to the enormous amount of content with which streaming platforms have bombarded us relentlessly. Twelve months in which it has been increasingly difficult to cover everything that interests us and, above all, to keep up with the trendiest series and essential films of each season.
And if you think the last stretch of the year would have been quieter, you’re wrong, because for the last month of 2022 Netflix, Disney+, HBO Max and other streamers have reserved another barrage of releases, some of which are truly essential , from long-awaited returns to movies you’ll want to see yes or yes to include in your top of the year’s best.

Netflix premieres two of the most anticipated movies of the year this month’Fist in the Back: The Mystery of the Glass Onion’, Benoit Blanc’s acclaimed new mystery, which hits the platform on December 23, after its current theatrical run, and the animated film ‘Pinocchio by Guillermo del Toro ‘ . As for the series, there will be big comebacks, such as ‘Alice in Borderland’, which is finally launching its second season, or ‘Emily in Paris’, which returns with its third; and new titles like the gay romantic comedy ‘Smiley’ and the spin-off ‘The Witcher: The Origin of Blood’.
Singer Aitana makes her acting debut alongside Miguel Bernardeau in ‘La última’, December’s star premiere for Disney+, where we can also see the reboot series of ‘The Search (National Treasure)’ and the latest episodes of ‘ The Walking Dead’. On HBO Max instead we will return to the Upper East Side with the scandalous second season of ‘Gossip Girl’ and We will witness the end of Lyra’s story in the third and final season of ‘Dark Matter’; while on Amazon Prime Video we will have another reunion: that of John Krasinski in the third season of ‘Jack Ryan’.
And, of course, there will be previews of recent films, making the leap to streaming to round off the year on a high note. Titles like ‘Amsterdam’ (Disney+), the extended version of ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ (Movistar Plus+), ‘Dragonflies’ (Film) or ‘Top Gun: Maverick’, one of the most acclaimed and grossing films of the year, reaching Prime Video’s fixed catalog at no additional cost.
