‘Love Actually’: The cast taped a special to celebrate the film’s 20th anniversary

In November 2003, a romantic comedy with a Christmas theme and an ensemble cast with many well-known faces from British cinema hit theaters. PFew could predict that ‘Love Actually’ would blow expectations so muchwould go on to gross nearly $250 million at the global box office and become a go-to classic whenever nougat and marzipan season rolls around.

While next year will celebrate the 20th anniversary of her first film on the big screen, Diane Sawyer has organized a meeting with some of the protagonists to recall the filming, led by Richard Curtis, to take stock of what it meant to them, and to the world, these love stories, and to ask you the question again: what is love, really?

“The Most Psychotic Thing We’ve Ever Been A Part Of”

Hugh Grant, Emma Thompson, Bill Nighy, Laura Linney, Thomas Brodie-Sangster and Olivia Olson were the ones who agreed to sit down with the reporter to put into perspective everything ‘Love Actually’ has given these 20 years, although it seems like everything has a very positive vibe, so they won’t go into the analysis of how well or badly some of the stories in the film have aged. In the trailer we can hear how Emma Thompson remembers that Hugh Grant approached her one day on the set and asked her: “Is this the most psychotic thing we’ve ever been to?”.
