Hugh Jackman congratulates his fans on Thanksgiving by remembering Wolverine

Along with Robert Downey Jr. or Chris Evans, Hugh Jackman is one of the big names that have passed through Marvel, one of the most popular film franchises of the 21st century. His role as Wolverine brought a large number of viewers closer to the world of superheroes and led a part of the public to adore the character, not only for his evolution, but also for the actor’s charisma and performance. But the public is not the only one who loves Wolverine, as Jackman has stated on several occasions, the mutant has been a very important and special part of his life and from time to time he likes to include him in his daily life. That is why, for him, Wolverine was supposed to be part of one of the most important days in the United States and Canada – Thanksgiving, so the actor took the opportunity to congratulate his followers on the holiday with a GIF of the famous mutant :

“I hope all who celebrate (the day) enjoy a safe, calorie-laden day with family and friends,” the message read.

Hugh Jackman is one of Marvel’s most beloved actors for playing Wolverine in multiple projects. Since first bringing out his claws in 2000’s “X-Men,” Jackman has appeared in multiple projects as this Canadian mutant over the years, making the character his own to the point where it’s impossible to think of the actor without thinking about Wolverine and vice versa. At first, Jackman should have reattached his claws in 2017 with ‘Logan’, but a few months ago one of the great news for Marvel and character lovers became official: Hugh Jackman will reprise his role of Wolverine once again in “Deadpool 3”, a film that, unlike its predecessors, will be part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It’s not yet clear what the plot will revolve around or if it will be Jackman’s last time playing the mutant, but we do know that the third installment of the Merc with a Mouth will be released on November 8, 2024.

Wolverine’s return was confirmed through Ryan Reynolds’ social media in a fun video starring himself with a brief cameo from Jackman. Reynolds and Jackman also used social networks to answer one of the big questions that arose after the news: “Wolverine wasn’t dead?”. As we saw in ‘Logan’, the mutant died in the film, but both actors have made it clear that this will not change and will be respected, they will not ignore one of the most important events in one of the most beloved Marvel films by both audiences and critics. One of the possibilities to justify the return to life of Wolverine, even if this is not official, is that ‘Deadpool 3’ takes place several years before ‘Logan’, we remember that the latter is chronologically located in a dystopian future in which the most of the mutants are dead. So they can set “Deadpool 3” anywhere between “Deadpool 2” and “Logan” with no problem.

Hawkeye was not forgotten either

Another veteran Marvel actor is Jeremy Renner, who first brought Hawkeye to life in 2011’s “Thor” and has continued to do so through, for now, 2021, in the “Hawkeye” series. The project with Clint Barton and the young Kate Bishop had a very Christmas setting, therefore the actor wanted to congratulate Thanksgiving with a postcard of his Marvel character:

Renner has been with Marvel Studios for ten years and much of that time has been joined by Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson and Mark Ruffalo. In an interview with GQ last year, Renner reflects on the trip with his companions: “It was a wonderful blessing, wonderful, you know, first of all. Five amazing friends and we all shared something very similar and we’ve been through a lot together, both personal and cinematic. We shared a lot together. That shared experience is everything for me. It’s pretty cute.
