The premiere of ‘Spider-Man: A New Universe’ in 2018 left ‘Spider-Man’ fans wanting more. Five years later, the sequel will arrive in theaters, which intends to surpass the success of the previous one, which won the Oscar for best animated film. Previously, creators Phil Lord and Chris Miller had announced that each universe would have its own style differing from the rest. What inspired the styles?

The different art styles in animation draw heavily from comics.. This way, Gwen’s universe will have a watercolor style reminiscent of her comic book covers.
