RICK AND MORTY Producer Says Upcoming Anime Series Will Be ‘Authentic’

It was fun to watch Rick and Morti play in the world of anime with some shorts that have been previously released. Those anime shorts were hugely successful and because of that we will have a whole new series, Rick and Morty: The Anime.

The series is directed by Takashi Sanowho previously directed the amazing anime shorts Rick and Morty vs Genocider And Summer meets God (Rick meets evil).

Sano previously said in a statement, “Rick and the gang’s multiverse-straddling exploits pose challenges to the familial bond, but they always rise to the occasion. It’s a life-affirming show and Jerry is no exception. I am honored to have had the opportunity to tell a new story about this amazing family. I hope you enjoy their adventures!

Now producer Scott Marder recently spoke to GameMe+ about the spin-off in the offing Rick and Morti the return of season 6, and promised it would be an “authentic” take on the style:

“I think it will be very authentic and unique. It’s not trying to dive into the [main] show too harshly. Adult Swim has been really good at making these satellite art pieces that are just additive, like a bonus. I think it will be very similar.

I’m pretty excited to see what the creative team has in store for this! There is no release date yet for the anime series, but it was reported earlier this year that it will consist of 10 episodes. Season 6 of Adult Swim Rick and Morti will be back at the end of November.
