Even after more than a decade in the entertainment industry, Jack Quaid saw a surge in popularity in his career when he agreed to star as Hughie in the Amazon Prime Video hit series, ‘The Boys’. And while few remember his time in the “Hunger Games” saga, the young actor points out that it’s a part of his past that he regrets.
The ‘The Boys’ actor recently gave an interview for ELLE Australia, where Jack Quaid has apologized for his character in ‘The Hunger Games’. If you recall, the actor gave birth to Marvel, one of the members of District 1, and who has faced Katniss, Jennifer Lawrence’s character, on more than one occasion. He was also the one who ended the life of Rue, the little girl trying to survive the competition.
As for his character, Jack Quaid regrets Marvel’s actions ‘The Hunger Games’: “Marvel is probably the baddest guy I’ve ever played – he killed Rue for God’s sake, I’m still sorry!” the actor said of the Amazon Prime Video series. But a villain doesn’t know he’s a villain. […] he’s just trying to survive, he’s just trying to bring honor to his District.”
Always with a little humor in between, Jack Quaid apologizes for Marvel’s actions in the first part of ‘The Hunger Games’, something which, through various interviews on the subject, he always made an effort to remember. Either way, that tragic moment stuck in fans’ memories, right at the beginning of the franchise.

The Future of ‘The Boys’ and ‘The Hunger Games’
After appearing in the superhero series, Jack Quaid hardly participated in major projects, one of his most outstanding was ‘Scream’, the reboot of the horror franchise. And in the future he will star in “Oppenjeimer”, the new film by Christopher Nolan, alongside Robert Downey Jr. And of course, he will be back for the fourth season of “The Boys” as Hughie.
As for the “Hunger Games” franchise, they are already preparing a prequel to all the events seen in the films, which bears the name “Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes”, starring Rachel Zegler, who will bring Lucy Gray Bird to life, a “bohemian artist”, and Viola Davis will play the villain.
After a third part that was well received by fans and surpassed the previous ones in many respects, ‘The Boys’ and its fourth season will be released in late 2023 via Amazon Prime Video, and it is expected to be the start of the end for Homelander and the rest of the Vought Seven.
