EXCLUSIVE: Here’s another star-studded package making the rounds before the Thanksgiving holiday. Deadline has learned that Channing Tatum will star in the spy thriller red shirt, based on an original pitch by Simon Kinberg and directed by David Leitch.
Details are sketchy, except that it’s a new take on James Bond that has franchise potential. Kelly McCormick and Leitch are producing under their production banner 87 North; Tatum produces through his company, Free Association; and Kinberg produces films through his genre. The bundle has already launched with several studios submitting bids, and feels like something that could sell well before the Thanksgiving holiday.
Tatum has a blast with two hits in MGMs dog followed by that of Paramount The Lost City; Lost City grossed nearly $200 million worldwide dog Made $84 million on a $15 million budget.

Leitch is coming off his summer hit fast train starring Brad Pitt, which grossed $240 million at the worldwide box office. He is about to start shooting The Autumn Man with Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt.
Kinberg currently produces for his Apple TV+ lineup sugar starring Colin Farrell and is also developing a new one Battlestar Galactica Movie.
