Gaming hardware news from Alienware, MSI and Razer

In the last week or so, a few gaming computer companies have made some announcements and launched some new machines. The three companies we’ll cover today include Alienware, MSI, and Razer, and we’ll cover them in that order. Products include desktops, laptops and monitors.

First, we have Alienware with two versions. The Aurora R15 is a new desktop for gamers that comes in black or white and comes with 13th generation Intel processors and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40-series graphics cards (ones that are melting and bigger than an Xbox Series S). The Aurora R15 is available now starting at $1,799.99 and are designed to stay cool with 240mm liquid cooling, five 120mm fans, and hex side ventilation. Also, the computer uses 4800 MHz DDR5 RAM for outstanding performance. You can buy your Aurora R15 from Dell.

Alienware’s monitor is the 34 Curved QD-OLED Gaming Monitor (AW3423DWF). Complete with AMD FreeSync Premium Pro certification and WQHD (3440 x 1440) resolution, this monitor aims to earn its $1,099.99 price tag. QD stands for Quantum Dot, a technology that allows for a thin panel and better color rendering. This monitor is said to have a peak brightness of 1,000 nits and a contrast ratio of 1,000,000:1. For connectivity, you’ll find one HDMI port (ver. 2.0), two DisplayPorts (ver. 1.4), four USB 3.2 Gen1 downstream ports, one USB 3.2 Gen1 upstream port, one line out, one headphone out, and a security lock slot. The stand is also height adjustable and rotatable. You can buy yours now at Dell.

Next, we have MSI announcing the new Infinite RS and Aegis RS series of desktops. Just like the Aurora R15, these gaming desktops are equipped with 13th generation Intel processors and RTX 40 series graphics cards. The Aegis RS series is designed for 1440p gaming and features tempered glass panels, RGB fans, and a DIY for easy repairs and upgrades. Meanwhile, the Infinite RS has a new chassis design, quad 140mm ARGB fans, a front panel mesh design for better airflow, and more. It’s also the more powerful of the two machines if you max them out, and has room for a 360mm liquid-cooling radiator if that’s your style. You can buy the Aegis RS and Infinite RS desktops now at Newegg.com. The images below are for the Infinite RS.

Finally, Razer recently made some announcements. He launched the Razer Blade 14 in Mercury color and it looks very nice. The laptop houses an AMD Ryzen 9 6900HX processor and an RTX 3060 or 3070 Ti for $1,999.99 or $2,599.99 respectively. Additionally, Razer announced a software update coming to all 2022 Blade 14 models. The two USB-3.2 Gen 2 Type-C ports have been upgraded to USB-4, and support for Microsoft Pluton has been implemented. This provides more compatibility and connectivity options via Thunderbolt and more. It is recommended that you contact Razer Support to download this update. You can purchase the Razer Blade 14 from Razer or your preferred Razer reseller.
