The premiere of ‘Black Adam’ continues to give plenty to talk about. A few weeks ago, yes We echoed reports that the new DC Universe movie would be the best premiere of Dwayne Johnson’s career as the lead. These predictions seemed to be confirmed during its first weekend, where it raised a whopping $67 million in the United States, making it the best theatrical release since ‘Thor: Love and Thunder’. However, after this his collection declined.

As Comicbook reported, so far Jaume Collet-Serra’s film has raised just over $150 million domestically and another $200 million worldwide, for a total of $350. But that doesn’t seem to be a problem for The Rock. who assures that the film will surpass ‘Hobbs & Shaw’, and would also be on its way to doing the same with ‘Fast & Furious 9’, two of the greatest successes of the American actor’s career.
This statement lacks official confirmation, but it was launched by Johnson himself through his Twitter account.. ‘Scorpion King’ star is referring solely to the domestic box office numbers, as ‘Fast & Furious’ ninth episode had a brilliant opening in China that ‘Black Adam’ won’t have, where it earned more than 200 million dollars dollars. For its part, the film starring Johnson and Jason Statham grossed a total of $759 million, with more than 175 in the US, while ‘Fast and Furious 9’ reached 179 million at the US box office.
The initial forecast was that ‘Black Adam’ would make about $328 million in North America alone.. But last weekend it only hit two million, while “Fast & Furious: Hobbs & Shaw” picked up $8 million on its opening weekend.
wonder is to blame
The cause of this sudden drop in the collection of ‘Black Adam’ is none other than the premiere of ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’. The long-awaited sequel to ‘Black Panther’ has stormed the box office as of this Friday, November 11 and has already surpassed 173 million admissions in the US and 726 million worldwide. Numbers practically unattainable for any other film in the rest of the year, with the exception of ‘Avatar: The sense of water’, and which were acknowledged by Johnson, who wanted to congratulate Ryan Coogler’s new film in said video.
