Andrew Garfield felt “liberated” when “The Amazing Spiderman 3” was cancelled

It has been almost a year since Andrew Garfield returned as Peter Parker in ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’. And now, the actor reflected on how he felt when ‘The Amazing Spiderman 3’ was cancelled. After the news that the closure of his saga would make way for Tom Holland’s Spider-Man at the MCU, the actor has managed to lift a weight off his shoulders.

As many fans of the character know, ‘The extraordinary spider man 3’ with Andrew Garfield was cancelled when fans and critics beat Marc Webb’s story, and which fared very poorly at the worldwide box office. Although Garfield has had the opportunity to redeem himself over the years thanks to the agreements between Disney and Sony, the actor talks about that moment in which his adventure with the spider was cancelled.

In an interview for GQ, Andrew Garfield talked about what it feels like to walk away ‘The extraordinary spider man 3’ (via The Direct). Garfield admitted that “there was a feeling that I wasn’t done” with his story of Peter, which he took many years to work on: “What was that experience all about? And how do I close that circle in my living room from just?” Garfield said.

Will there be “The Amazing Spiderman 3” with Andrew Garfield?

At the time, Sony didn’t really want to make Marc Webb’s third installment, because the reception was negative, in many respects. But after the premiere of ‘No Way Home’, the company seems to have changed its mind, also thanks to the request of the fans for the return of the actor. So far, ‘The Amazing Spiderman 3’ has not been confirmed by the actor.

The leaks suggest that Andrew Garfield has already signed a deal with Sony for his third film, but it’s unknown if that would be a deal with multiple USS appearances.

Additionally, strong rumors indicate that Garfield and Tobey Maguire may reunite once again to appear in “Avengers: Secret Wars,” the biggest crossover yet in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. But until then, we’ll have to wait a few years to find out if that’s true.
