This Christmas, after more than a decade of rest, the most seasoned kitten in the story realm returns. Antonio Banderas once again lends his voice to Puss in Boots in “Puss in Boots: The Last Wish”, which presents an extended trailer with lots of news and some surprises:
Puss in Boots’ new adventure could be his last. The protagonist has been so careless with his nine lives that he has only one left. The prospect of death looms over her, and so he decides to retire to Mama Luna’s house, a cat shelter that is anything but a five-star resort. Do you recognize Mama Luna’s voice? In fact, Rosario Flores joins the cast as an actual mad cat—literally.
Mama Luna’s house will not be our hero’s last stop. The swordsman turns to his old enemy Kitty Softpaws to search for a fallen wishing star in the Black Forest.. If you find it, you will be able to recover the lives you have lost. But he’s not the only one who wants such a loot. He will have to face the evil big bad wolf and Goldilocks and his three bears in a race where everything is on the line.

‘Puss in Boots: The Last Wish’ debuts a new visual style, closer to drawing (and with some anime touches at times), and comes with a whole surprise: the cameo of Jengi, the pan cookie of ginger from the saga ‘Shrek’. In case we’ve forgotten all these years where we met Puss in Boots. Will he be the only character in the franchise to be seen? We can find out in theaters from December 21st.
