Anne Heche’s latest film What Remains will receive a first look clip from Gravitas Ventures

EXCLUSIVE: Deadline has an exclusive clip from What’s left – a crime thriller that is the last film Anne Heche completed. The film, written and directed by Nathan Scoggins, will be released in theaters and digitally on December 2 by Gravitas Ventures.

What’s left follows a recently paroled convict (Kellan Lutz) who returns to the small town where he murdered the local pastor’s wife (Cress Williams), who is forced to balance his pain and anger with forgiveness. At the same time, the local sheriff (Heche) investigates another mysterious murder that may be related.

World premiere at the 2022 Austin Film Festival in October, What’s left also stars Marcus Gladney Jr. (The metro), Stelio Savante (The chosen ones) and Juliana Destefano (shark season). Pic was produced by Ralph Winter with Korey Scott Pollard, Sean B. Doherty, Savante and Scoggins as executive producers and co-financed by Doherty’s Sharpened Iron Studios.

Heche was an Emmy nominee known for her work on series Everyone stands up and in films like Donnie Brasco, who died on August 11, was declared brain dead after suffering non-life-threatening injuries in a series of car accidents in Los Angeles on August 5. She was 53 years old. “We have lost a bright light, a kind and very cheerful soul, a loving mother and a devoted friend,” her family and friends said in a statement at the time. “Anne will be greatly missed, but she lives on through her beautiful sons, iconic work and passionate advocacy. Her courage to always stand up for her truth and spread her message of love and acceptance will continue to have a lasting impact.”

Although there are several upcoming projects with Heche that are yet to be released, including the film super cell with Alec Baldwin and Skeet Ulrich and the HBO series the idol from A24 televisionWhat’s left was the last film she worked on, with production last October. The memoirs of the late actress call Anne for Viva Editions/Simon & Schuster will be published in January.
