THE GAME AWARDS 2022 reveals the full list of nominees to vote on

The Game Awards will take place in about 20 days. The nominees for all the various categories have been revealed and players can now go to the official website to cast their votes. For 2022, 108 games, singles, teams and events have been nominated in 31 categories. Additionally, this year sees the addition of the Best Adaptation category which examines “projects inspired by gaming through entertainment”.

I will include all the nominees below, but you have to go to the official Discord site or server to vote (Chinese players can go to Bilibili to vote). Voting closes December 7 at 6:00 PM PT with the live awards broadcast December 8 which can be viewed via stream, in-person, or in select IMAX theaters.

A couple of things I want to point out is that Sony Interactive Entertainment leads the awards with 20 nominations. Annapurna Interactive and Nintendo followed with 11 nominations each, Bandai Namco got 8 and Riot Games got 6. Also, I think it’s interesting that God of War Ragnarok earned the most nominations in any single game with 10! That said, I’m still convinced Elden ring will win Game of the Year. I wasn’t a big fan of it, but so many others were and it was available on multiple systems. I think it has an edge. Self Elden ring does not win, God of War Ragnarok will be the winner. If it’s none of these, I’m going to be shocked. What matches do you think you should win? What games do you think have been snubbed? You can find my predictions (not ratings) with the full list indicated by an asterisk
