When it comes to suspense thriller recommendations, the classics always come out, like ‘Gone Girl’, ‘Memento’ or ‘The Silence of the Lambs’. But when you’ve been a fan of the genre for several years, few titles manage to captivate like the classics, especially when they don’t get enough recognition. Now let’s look at the movies that may not be that popular.

With a huge reputation under his belt, director Park Chan-Wook released in 2013, ‘Stoker’, a little-known suspense thriller, even when the director has an excellent resume. Although only one is credited as director of this story, Joel and Ethan Coen released in 1984 ‘Blood Simple’, a neo-noir thriller starring Frances McDormand among others. The story is very simple, a jealous husband hires a private detective to track down his wife, and when he discovers that she is unfaithful, he has her killed along with her lover.

Smoking prohibited

This Indian title, which came out in 2007, we are sure could be one of the least known on the list. This is ‘No Smoking’ a thriller written and directed by Anurag Kashyap about a businessman who seeks help from a guru to quit smoking but the consequences are very dire for such a small favor.

Disappearance

Perhaps this suspenseful film is a little better known than the others, basically because it was part of the Netflix news at one point.
